AP Spanish 5 Literature is a highly structured and rigorous class. Homework is assigned daily and on weekends. Students must meet the entrance requirements to take this class (a C or better in Spanish 4 and a score of 3 or better on the language exam) or be approved by the teacher. There are two quizzes per week and students are expected to communicate solely in Spanish. This is a college level class which gives the student college credits. This class is geared for only the most serious and applied students. Note: it is not necessary to take AP Spanish 5 to be eligible to take the AP Spanish Literature Examination. The test is open to all interested parties. However, it is strongly advised that the student take this class to obtain the skills necessary to pass the examination. Lastly, if a student chooses not to take the class, he or she must score a 3 or better on the AP Spanish Literature and Cultural Examination to receive college credits.
